We are a foundation established to raise support for the Emmanuel-Maria Charity Association in Arad, Romania, which provides humanitarian aid and assistance by distributing food and clothing and providing social and psychological support for many people in the region.

The Emmanuel-Maria Foundation invites you to participate in one of several opportunities to hear from our Romanian partners in ministry, Raluca (Medrea) and Silviu Paduret about the next generation of ministry in the area around Arad, Romania as they move ahead with the mission begun by our friends Maria and George Medrea. They share their work with families in need, with gypsy children, in nursing homes and in giving aid for medical needs. Many of you have been able to participate in a mission trip yourself and many others of you know someone who has been on a trip. Join us for our next trip!

The Heart of the Foundation


Basic food staples and donated clothing are distributed on a regular basis to low-income families and students, the disabled, elderly, widowed, and the sick.

At-risk children can attend one of several after school programs that provide encouragement in learning and in faith, as well as the opportunity for music education.

EMCA also provides social and psychological support as well as general care-taking services to a variety of people.

Our Wish List
  • Bus passes for children in a village who have to walk six miles to attend school
  • A van to carry food and clothing to be distributed in various villages in the Arad area.
  • Money for staff support and supplies for the after-school program.
